KILL THE THRILL are blessed with an elusive vision. Over the past 30 years, the French duo have been dreaming up an abrasive-but-hypnotic blend of industrial rock, post-punk and dark wave.
Their new album, Autophagie, immerses audiences in a cinematic fever dream that would give David Lynch nightmares. The title track swarms with feedback-laden guitars, while “Capitan” crests into an industrial-sized groove. “They come back from afar / With nothing”, Chris Dick sings on “A la dérive”, his voice raw with bitterness, straining each note to a breaking point.
