The wait is almost over, metalheads.
It’s been two decades of infernal torment since Pessimist baptized underground initiates with their last album of brutal, technical blackened death metal. The band are oh so close to handing over the keys to their long-awaited fourth LP. Next month, these LA devils are road testing new songs when they bring unspeakable terror back to the East Coast.
Pessimist will slaughter their faithful cult following across four dates in April alongside North Dakota’s supremely thrashing death metal veterans Gorgatron.
This run kicks off with a triumphant return to the band’s old Baltimore stomping ground, where they haven’t played since Maryland Deathfest seven years ago. After a pit stop to taste Blood for the Gods at Brimming Horn Meadery, they’ll embrace their fellow demons at the 9th annual New Jersey Deathfest before sealing this unholy union with the Connecticut masses for the first time in Pessimist’s long and storied history.
“It’s been too long since we played these cities,” says guitarist and founding member Kelly McLauchlin. “Last time we played our old stomping grounds in Baltimore, MD, was Maryland Deathfest 2018. For New Jersey, it’s been 20+ years!
“Delaware is always special for us. We played our first shows there in 1993, and Brimming Horn Meadery are the good folks who made us our very own Blood for the Gods mead!
We look forward to crushing skulls in MD, DE, NJ and for our first show ever in CT!”
