Tool night, or better yet, how the Tool made a huge legacy and then released it to pull it off. 3 bands with obvious influences from Tool, one of which is already big and has its own sound and one live concert which could be a mini festival. The truth is we all had a great time.
Getting Started with Italian The Price. Here’s to say, no, I didn’t know them. Progressive, rock, nu metal was definitely a good start, but it didn’t help the band because of the low turnout. It may have taken more time than when the doors opened for their show to begin. I will check you out guys. You are GOOD! Unfortunately we did not manage to have any photographic material

Second are Wheel who know how to enter. Wearing hoods and awe at the Gagarin 205 certainly caused a big surprise. Their performance on the tracks was fantastic, and the band’s drummer is really the best I’ve seen and heard lately. Big tracks, intelligent absorption of the Tool’s legacy, and a performance that touches bands of greater range. Guys I hope to see you on your own show soon.

Soen. Love from the first moment. My first contact with the band on the Cognitive disc was out. Since then they have evolved, changed and what I have discovered is the Soen is true love for many people. It’s a band that gives them real entertainment. I don’t know how long I have been watching people dance and not headbanging. People of all ages, to be tuned to a party. But let’s take the show from the beginning.
Starting with the Covenant and the hall has already become a stadium with people singing the lyrics. I have the impression that Soen were shocked already at launch and this is evident from their smiles. Tabula Rasa, Lascivious and Jinn in Iron Maiden And Bruce moments where Joel as another maestro that ups the audience with the song. Girls dancing … a tsifteteli (oh my god) people laughing and partying. This is the highlight of the night as you can see in the video!
Follow up with Opponent and Lucidity and on the end with the big hit Martyrs and Slithering (how much I love it). The band leaves with claps and shouts and with a bit of pressure (come on they did want it) return with Savia, Sectarian and the epic, epic, i am crying Lotus.
After about 1 hour and 30 minutes our first contact with Soen has been history. I am sure they will be back for other Live shows as it is very clear that Greece loves the band very much, is aware of its music and knows everything from the outside. What impressed me was the professionalism of the musicians, the courtesy of Lars Ahlund, who played the keys, the guitar, the percussion, and generally the band and the live maturity of the band.

Tool night ή καλύτερα, πως οι Tool έφτιαξαν μια τεράστια κληρονομιά και έπειτα την άφησαν ελεύθερη να τραβήξει την εξέλιξή της. 3 μπάντες με εμφανείς επιρροές από Tool εκ των οποίων η μία ήδη είναι μεγάλη και έχει τον δικό της ήχο και ένα live το οποίο θα μπορούσε να είναι και μινι φεστιβάλ. Η αλήθεια είναι πως όλοι περάσαμε ωραία.
Εκκίνηση με τους Ιταλούς Price. Εδώ να πω πως, όχι, δεν τους ήξερα. Progressive, rock, nu metal σίγουρα ήταν μια καλή έναρξη η οποία όμως δεν βοήθησε τη μπάντα λόγο της μικρής προσέλευσης. Ισως χρειαζόταν περισσότερη ώρα από όταν άνοιξαν οι πορτες για την έναρξη τους show. Δυστυχώς δεν καταφέραμε να έχουμε και φωτογραφικό υλικό.

Δεύτεροι οι Wheel οι οποίοι γνωρίζουν να κάνουν είσοδο. Φορώντας κουκούλες και δημιουργώντας δέος στο Gagarin 205, προκάλεσαν σίγουρα την μεγάλη έκπληξη. Η απόδοσή τους στα κομμάτιά ήταν ΦΑΝΤΑΣΤΙΚΗ και ο drummer της μπάντας πραγματικά είναι ό,τι καλύτερο έχω δει και ακούσει τον τελευταίο καιρό. Μεγάλα κομμάτια, ευφυής απορρόφηση της κληρονομιάς των Tool και ένα performance που αγγίζει μπάντες μεγαλύτερου βεληνεκούς. Guys εύχομαι να σας δούμε και σε δικό σας show σύντομα.

Soen. Ερωτας από την πρώτη στιγμή. Η πρώτη επαφή μου με την μπάντα στον δίσκο Cognitive ήταν καθοριστική. Από τότε έχουν εξελιχθεί, αλλάξει και από ότι διαπίστωσα είναι έρωτας για πολύ κόσμο και όχι μόνο έρωτας. Ειναι πραγματική διασκέδαση. Δεν ξέρω πόσο καιρό έχω να δω σε live κόσμο να χορεύει και όχι να κάνει headbanging. Κόσμος όλων των ηλικιών, να έχει συντονιστεί σε ένα πάρτυ. Αλλά ας τα πάρουμε από την αρχή.
Εναρξη με το Covenant και ήδη η αίθουσα έχει γίνει οπαδικό γήπεδο με τον κόσμο να τραγουδάει τους στίχους. Εχω την εντύπωση πως ήδη με την έναρξη οι Soen είναι σοκαρισμένοι και αυτό φαίνεται από τα χαμόγελά τους. Tabula Rasa, Lascivious και Jinn σε στιγμές Iron Maiden Και Bruce όπου ο Joel ως άλλος μαέστρος ανεβοκατεβάζει τον κόσμο με το τραγούδι. Κοπέλες να χορεύουν… τσιφτέτέλι (ο γκαντ) κόσμος να γελάει και να γίνεται του πάρτυ η φάση.
Συνέχεια με Opponent και Lucidity και προλογισμός τέλους με το μεγάλο hit Martyrs και το Slithering (πόσο αγαπημένο). Η μπάντα αποχωρεί με χειροκροτήματα και φωνές ενώ με λίγη πίεση (έλα που δεν ήθελαν) επιστρέφει να κλείσει με Savia, Sectarian και το έπος, έπος, κλάμα Lotus.
Επειτα από 1 ώρα και 30 λεπτά περίπου η πρώτη μας επαφή με τους Soen έχει περάσει στην ιστορία. Είμαι σίγουρος πως θα επιστρέψουν και για άλλα Live αφού φάνηκε περίτρανα πως η Ελλάδα αγαπάει πολύ την μπάντα, είναι ενημερωμένη για τη μουσική της και γνωρίζει τα πάντα απ’εξω. Αυτό που μου έκανε εντύπωση είναι ο επαγγελματισμός των μουσικών, η ευγένεια που εξέπεμπαν στην σκηνή, ο Lars Ahlund ο οποίος έπαιζε πλήκτρα, κιθάρα, κρουστά έκανε φωνητικά και γενικά έκανε τον Βέγγο αλλά και η live ωριμότητα της μπάντας.
